A man who lived in a block of apartments thought it was raining and put his head out the window to check.
As he did so, a glass eye fell into his hand.
He looked up to see where it came from just in time to notice a young woman looking down.
"Is this yours?" he asked.
She said, "Yes, could you bring it up?" and the man agreed.
On his arrival she was profuse in her thanks and offered the man a drink. Because she was very attractive, he agreed.
Shortly afterward she said, "I'm about to have dinner--there's plenty. Would you like to join me?"
He readily accepted her offer and both enjoyed a lovely meal.
As the evening was drawing to a close the lady said, "I've had a marvelous evening. Would you like to stay the night?"
The man hesitated then said, "Do you act like this with every man you meet?"
"No," she replied. "Only those who catch my eye."
어느 아파트 단지에 살고 있는 한 남자가 비가 오고 있다고 생각하고, 확인하기 위하여 머리를 창문 밖으로 내밀었다.
그가 그렇게 하고 있을 때, 의안 하나가 자기 손에 떨어졌다.
그는 그게 어디서 떨어졌나 알아보려고 위를 보았는데, 바로 그때 한 젊은 여자가 내려다보고 있는 걸 보았다.
"이게 당신 겁니까?" 하고 그가 물었다.
그녀가 말했다, "예, 그걸 위로 갖다주실 수 있나요?" 그러고 남자가 동의하였다.
그가 도착하자 그녀는 정말 고맙다고 말했다. 그러고 그 남자에게 술을 한 잔 권했다. 그녀는 아주 매력적이어서, 그는 동의하였다.
잠시 후 그녀가 말했다, "저는 저녁밥을 먹으려 하던 참입니다 -- 충분히 있습니다. 저와 같이 식사하시겠어요?"
그는 그녀의 제안을 기꺼이 받아들였고, 둘은 맛있는 식사를 즐겼다.
저녁이 끝나가고 있을 때 여자가 말했다, "저는 아주 멋진 저녁을 보냈습니다. 당신은 밤을 여기서 지내고 싶지 않으세요?"
남자가 주저하면서 말했다, "당신은 만나는 사람에게 다 이렇게 행동합니까?"
"아니에요," 그녀가 대답하였다, "제 눈을 (사로) 잡은 사람에게만요."
