Late one night a couple is driving down a country highway and run over an opossum.
Knowing that mother opossums often carry babies in their pouch, they decide to check out this poor animal.
Sure enough there was a baby, so they decide to rescue it.
They take it into the car and continue down the road.
The little opossum is scared and squirming around like crazy so the wife asks her husband what she should do?
He thinks for a minute and says, " Well it's used to being in it's mother's pouch. Maybe if you unbutton your jeans, and put it in "there" it will calm down."
She exclaims, "I'm not going to do that! That thing is smelly and nasty!"
The husband replies," Well, why don't you just hold it's little nose!"
어느 날 밤늦게 한 부부가 시골 고속도로를 운전하다가 주머니쥐 한 마리를 치었다.
그들은 어미 주머니쥐가 가끔 그들의 주머니 속에 새끼를 품고 다닌다는 걸 알고 있었기에, 이 불쌍한 동물을 살펴보기로 하였다.
아니나 다를까 새끼가 한 마리 들어 있었다, 그래서 그들은 새끼를 구조하기로 하였다.
그들은 새끼를 차 안으로 데리고 와, 도로를 계속 달렸다.
새끼 주머니쥐는 공포에 떨며 미친 듯이 꿈틀거리고 있었다, 그래서 아내가 남편에게 어떻게 해야 하느냐고 물었다.
남편은 잠시 생각하더니 말했다, "음, 새끼는 보통 어미의 주머니 속에 들어 있어. 아마 당신이 당신의 진 바지 지퍼를 열고 새끼를 그 속에 넣어두면 새끼는 조용해질 거야."
그녀가 비명을 질렀다, "난 그렇게는 못 해! 그건 냄새나고 지저분해!"
남편이 대답하였다, "음, 새끼의 작은 코를 쥐고 있어!"
