Paul was ambling through a crowded street fair when he decided to stop and sit at a Palm Reader's table.
Said the mysterious old woman, "For fifteen dollars, I can read your love line and tell your romantic future."
Paul readily agreed and the reader took one look at his open palm and said, "I can see that you have no girlfriend."
"That's true," said Paul.
"Oh my goodness, you are extremely lonely, aren't you?"
"Yes," Paul shamefully admitted. "That's amazing. Can you tell all of this from my love line?"
"Love line? No, from the calluses and blisters."
포올은 복잡한 길거리장터를 느긋하게 걷다가 손금쟁이 테이블 앞에서 발길을 멈추고 거기에 앉기로 했다.
신비스러운 노파가 말했다, "15달러를 내시면, 손님의 애정선을 읽고 낭만적인 장래를 알려드릴 수 있습니다."
포올은 기꺼이 동의하고 손금쟁이는 그가 펴 보인 손금을 한번 보더니 말했다, "손님은 걸프렌드가 없군요."
"그건 사실입니다," 하고 포올이 말했다.
"오 이런, 손님은 아주 외로우시네요, 안 그래요?"
"예," 하고 포올은 부끄럽지만 인정했다, "저의 애정선을 보면 이런걸 모두 알수 있나요?"
"애정선요? 아닙니다, 굳은살과 물집을 보면 알 수 있습니다."
