Two thieves each sneak into a rich man's party.
During dinner the thieves marveled at how even the cutlery was made of gold, and both decided they would try to steal some.
The first thief quietly slipped a golden spoon into his pocket, unaware that the second thief had witnessed this crime.
After dinner, the second thief comes up with a way to steal a golden spoon without suspicion being placed on him.
He picks up a golden spoon identical to the first and holds it up in front of the party-goers explaining he wishes to show them a magic trick.
"And now..." he speaks to the crowd and points towards the first thief, "I will put this spoon into my pocket, and remove it from this gentleman here's own pocket!"
두 도둑이 어느 부자의 파티장에 슬쩍 들어갔다.
식사를 하는 동안 도둑들은 어떻게 수저 같은 것까지 금으로 만들어졌는지 놀랐다, 그러고 둘 다 좀 훔쳐보기로 하였다.
첫 번째 도둑이 금 숟가락을 자기 호주머니 속으로 몰래 살며시 집어넣었다. 그러고 그는 두 번째 도둑이 이 범행을 보고 있는 걸 모르고 있었다.
식사가 끝난 후, 두 번째 도둑은 자기가 아무런 의심을 받지 않고 금 숟가락을 훔치는 방법을 생각해 냈다.
그는 첫 번째 도둑이 가져간 것과 똑같은 금 숟가락을 골랐다, 그러고 파티 손님들 앞에서 그들에게 마술을 보여주겠다고 설명하면서 그 숟가락을 들어 올렸다.
"그러고 이제...." 하고 그는 사람들에게 말했다, 그러고 첫 번째 도독을 가리켰다, "저는 이 숟가락을 제 호주머니 속으로 넣겠습니다, 그리고 여기 있는 이 신사분의 호주머니 속에서 그걸 꺼내겠습니다!"
