Patient: "I’m in a hospital! Why am I in here?"
Doctor: "You’ve had an accident involving a bus."
Patient: "What happened?"
Doctor: "Well, I’ve got some good news and some bad news. Which would you like to hear first?"
Patient: "Give me the bad news first."
Doctor: "Your legs were injured so badly that we had to amputate both of them."
Patient: "That’s terrible! What’s the good news?"
Doctor: "There’s a guy in the next ward who made a very good offer on your shoes."
환자: "내가 병원에 입원해 있군! 내가 왜 여기 있죠?"
의사: "당신은 버스 교통사고를 당하셨습니다."
환자: "무슨 일이 발생했죠?"
의사: "음, 당신에게 알려드릴 다소 좋은 뉴스와 다소 나쁜 뉴스가 있습니다. 어느 쪽을 먼저 듣고 싶습니까?"
환자: "나쁜 뉴스를 먼저 들려주세요."
의사: "당신이 두 다리를 심하게 다쳐서 우리가 그 두 다리를 절단해야 했습니다."
환자: "끔찍하군요! 좋은 뉴스란 어떤 겁니까?"
의사: "옆 병동에 있는 어떤 남자가 당신 구두를 후한 값에 사겠다고 제의하였습니다."
