One day a farmer's donkey fell down into a well.
The animal cried piteously for hours as the farmer tried to figure out what to do.
Finally, he decided the animal was old, and the well needed to be covered up anyway; it just wasn't worth it to retrieve the donkey.
He invited all his neighbors to come over and help him.
They all grabbed a shovel and began to shovel dirt into the well.
At first, the donkey realized what was happening and cried horribly.
Then, to everyone's amazement he quieted down.
A few shovel loads later, the farmer finally looked down the well.
He was astonished at what he saw.
With each shovel of dirt that hit his back, the donkey was doing something amazing.
He would shake it off and take a step up.
As the farmer's neighbors continued to shovel dirt on top of the animal, he would shake it off and take a step up.
Pretty soon, everyone was amazed as the donkey stepped up over the edge of the well and happily trotted off!
어느 날 한 농부가 키우던 당나귀가 우물에 빠졌다.

그들은 모두 삽을 한 자루씩 들고나와 삽으로 흙을 떠 우물 속으로 던져 넣기 시작하였다.
처음엔, 당나귀가 무슨 일이 일어나고 있는지 알아채고 몹시 울었다.
그러더니, 모두가 놀랍게도, 당나귀가 조용해졌다.
몇 번의 삽질을 하고 난 뒤, 농부는 드디어 우물 밑을 내려다보았다.
그는 자기가 본 것에 놀랐다.
삽으로 던져 넣은 흙이 그의 등을 때릴 때마다, 당나귀는 놀라운 일을 하고 있었다.
그는 흙을 털어내고 그 위에 올라서곤 하였다.
농부의 이웃들이 그 동물 위로 삽으로 흙을 던져 넣을 때, 당나귀는 그 흙을 털어내고 밟고 올라서곤 하였다.
곧, 당나귀가 우물가를 디디고 넘어 행복하게 뛰어나오는 걸 보고 도두 놀랐다!
