Billy-Bob walks into a bar and says, "Bartender, one round for everyone, on me!"
The bartender says, "Well, seems you're in a really good mood tonight, hm?"
Billy-Bob says, "Oh, you can bet on it! I just got hired by the city to go around and remove all the money from parking meters. I start on Monday!"
The bartender congratulates him and proceeds to pour the round.
Monday evening arrives. Billy-Bob comes back into the bar and says, "Bartender, two rounds for everyone, on me!"
The bartender says, "Well now! If you're so happy just over having this new job, I can just imagine how happy you'll be when you get your paycheck!"
Billy-Bob looks at the bartender with a wondrous look on his face, pulls out a handful of quarters from his pocket, and says, "You mean they'll PAY me too?"
빌리 밥이 바 안으로 들어와서 말했다, "바텐더, 모두에게 한 잔씩 돌려요, 돈은 내가 낼 거요!"
바텐더가 말했다, "음, 당신 오늘 밤 진짜 기분 좋은 모양이군!"
빌리 밥이 말했다, "오, 당신 말이 맞아요! 나는 방금 시에 고용되었는데 주차 미터기를 돌아다니면서 돈을 전부 수금하는 일을 맡았어요, 나는 월요일에 시작해요!"
바텐더는 그를 축하하였다, 그러고 돌릴 잔에 술을 붓고 있었다.
월요일 저녁이 되었다. 빌리 밥이 바 안으로 다시 들어와서 말했다, "바텐더, 내가 돈을 낼 테니, 두 잔씩 돌려요!"
바텐더가 말했다, "음, 그러죠! 당신이 이 새 직업이 갖는 게 그렇게 좋다면, 당신이 봉급을 받을 때는 얼마나 좋아할지 상상이 되네요!"
빌리 밥이 얼굴에 놀란 표정을 지으며 바텐더를 바라보고, 자기 호주머니에서 한 움큼의 25센트 짜리 동전을 꺼내고 말했다, "시에서 나에게 또 봉급을 줄 거란 말이요?"
