Here in Kentucky, you don't see too many people hang-gliding.
Ol' Zeek decided to save up and get a hang-glider. He takes it to the highest mountain, and after struggling to the top, he gets ready to take flight.
He takes off running and reaches the edge-- into the wind he goes!
Meanwhile, Maw & Paw Hicks were sittin' on the porch swing talking about the good ol' days when maw spots the biggest bird she ever seen! "Look at the size of that bird, Paw!" she exclaims.
Paw raises up," Git my gun, Maw."
She runs into the house, brings out his pump shotgun.
He takes careful aim. BANG...BANG.....BANG.....BANG!
The monster size bird continues to sail silently over the tree tops.
"I think ya missed him, Paw," she says.
"Yeah," he replies, "but at least he let go of ol' Zeek!"
여기 켄터키에서는 행글라이딩하는 사람이 그렇게 많지 않다.
올직은 돈을 모아 행글라이더를 하나 샀다. 그는 행글라이더를 가장 높은 산으로 가져갔다, 그리고 기를 쓰고 꼭대기로 올라간 후, 날 준비를 하였다.
그는 뛰어가서 절벽 가장자리에 도착하고는 바람을 거슬러 갔다!
한편, 시골뜨기인 그의 엄마와 아빠는 문간 베란다에 설치된 그네에 앉아 그리운 옛 시절에 대한 이야기를 하고 있었는데 그때 엄마가 이제껏 보아온 새 중에서 가장 큰 새를 봤다! "저 새 크기를 봐, 여보!" 하고 그녀가 소리쳤다.
아빠가 일어섰다, "가서 내 총 가져와, 여보."
그녀는 집안으로 달려가서 남편의 펌프 연사식 산탄총을 가지고 나왔다.
그는 신중하게 겨냥하였다. "빵... 빵... 빵... 빵!
그 괴물같이 큰 새는 나무 꼭대기 위를 계속 조용히 날아갔다.
"당신이 그 새를 놓친 것 같아, 여보," 하고 그녀가 말했다.
그가 대답하였다, "그래, 하지만 적어도 올직을 놓아줬어!"
