The Madam opened the brothel door to see a frail, elderly gentleman.
"Can I help you?" the madam asked.
"I want Natalie," the old man replied.
"Sir, Natalie is one of our most expensive ladies, perhaps someone else..."
"No, I must see Natalie."
Just then Natalie appeared and announced to the old man that she charges $1,000 per visit.
Without blinking, the man reached into his pocket and handed her ten $100 bills.
The two went up to a room for an hour, whereupon the man calmly left.
The next night he appeared again demanding to see Natalie.
Natalie explained that no one had ever come back two nights in a row and that There were no discounts...it was still $1,000 a visit.
Again the old man took out the money, the two went up to the room and an hour later, he left.
When he showed up the third consecutive night, no one could believe it.
Again he handed Natalie the money and up to the room they went.
At the end of the hour Natalie questioned the old man: "No one has ever used my services three nights in a row. Where are you from?"
The old man replied, "I'm from Philadelphia."
"Really?" replied Natalie. "I have family who lives there."
"Yes, I know," said the old man. "Your father died, and I'm your sister's attorney. She asked me to give this $3,000 to you."
(Some things in life are certain: taxes, death and being screwed by an attorney.)
사창가 포주가 문을 여니 약골 노신사 한 분이 보였다.
포주가 물었다, "무슨 일로 오셨습니까?"
"나탈리를 만나러 왔습니다." 하고 노인이 대답하였다.
"선생님, 나탈리는 우리 집에서 가장 비싼 아가씨입니다, 다른 아가씨를 택하시면..."
"안돼요, 난 나탈리를 만나야 합니다."
바로 그때 나탈리가 나타나 그 노인에게 자기는 손님이 한 번 찾을 때마다 1,000달러를 받는다고 말했다.
노인은 눈 한 번 깜짝하지 않고 호주머니 속에 손을 넣더니 100달러짜리 지폐 10장을 꺼내어 그녀에게 주었다.
둘은 방으로 올라가 한 시간을 지냈다. 그리곤 그 노인은 조용히 떠났다.
다음날 밤 그 노인이 다시 나타나 나탈리를 찾았다.
나탈리는 아무도 이틀밤을 연달아 찾아온 일이 없었다는 것과 디스카운트 없이 여전히 한 번 찾을 때마다 1,000달러라고 설명했다.
다시 노인은 그 돈을 꺼내 주었다. 둘은 그 방으로 올라갔다. 그리고 한 시간 뒤 노인이 떠났다.
그 노인이 연속으로 사흘째 나타났을때 아무도 믿을 수 없었다.
노인은 다시 나탈리에게 그 돈을 주고 그 방으로 올라갔다.
한시간 뒤 나탈리기 물었다, "아무도 사흘 연속하여 내 서비스를 받은 일이 없어요, 할아버지는 어디서 오셨어요?"
노인이 말했다, "난 필라델피아에서 왔소."
"정말이에요?" 하고 나탈리가 대답했다, "내 가족이 거기서 살고 있어요."
"알고 있어요," 하고 노인이 말했다. "아가씨의 아버지가 돌아가셨어요, 난 아가씨 언니의 변호사인데 언니가 나더러 아가씨한테 3,000달러를 갖다 주라고 했어요."
