A couple was invited to a swanky masked Halloween Party. She got a terrible headache and told her husband to go to the party alone. He, being a devoted husband, protested, but she argued and said she was going to take some aspirin and go to bed, and there was no need of his good time being spoiled by not going. So he took his costume and away he went.
The wife, after sleeping soundly for one hour, awakened without pain, and as it was still early, she decided to go to the party. In as much as her husband did not know what her costume was, she thought she would have some fun by watching her husband to see how he acted when she was not with him.
She joined the party and soon spotted her husband cavorting around on the dance floor, dancing with every nice chick he could, and copping a little feel here and a little kiss there. His wife sidled up to him and being a rather seductive babe herself, he left his partner high and dry and devoted his time to the new stuff that had just arrived.
She let him go as far as he wished; naturally, since he was her husband. Finally he whispered a little proposition in her ear and she agreed, so off they went to one of the cars and had a little bang.
Just before unmasking at midnight, she slipped away and went home and put the costume away and got into bed, wondering what kind of explanation he would make for his behavior.
She was sitting up reading when he came in and asked what kind of a time he had. He said, "Oh, the same old thing. You know I never have a good time when you're not there."
Then she asked, "Did you dance much?"
He replied, "I'll tell you, I never even danced one dance. When I got there, I met Pete, Bill Brown and some other guys, so we went into the den and played poker all evening. But I'll tell you... the guy I loaned my costume to sure had a real good time!"
어떠 부부가 멋진 가장 무도회인 핼로윈 파티에 초대되었다. 아내는 머리가 몹시 아파서 남편에게 혼자 파티에 가라고 말했다. 그는 헌신적인 남편이라 반대하였지만 그녀는 거절하며 아스피린을 먹고 한잠 자야겠다고 말했다. 재밌는 기회를 안가고 망칠 필요는 없었다. 그래서 그는 의상을 챙겨서 집을 나섰다.
아내는 한시간 동안을 늘어지게 자고 깨어나니 머리 아픈게 없어졌다. 아직 시간이 얼마지나지 않았기에 그녀는 그 파티에 가기로 했다. 그녀의 남편은 아내의 의상이 어떤지를 모르기 때문에 그녀는 남편이 그녀 없을때 어떻게 행동하나 지켜보면 재밌겠다고 생각했다.
그녀는 그 파티에 참석해서 곧 남편이 댄스 플로어를 부지런히 뛰어다니는걸 보았다. 멋진 여자들가 함께 춤을 추면서 여기저기서 가볍게 몸을 더듬거나 키스하곤 했다. 그녀는 살글살금 남편에게 접근하여 스스로 매력적인 영계나 되는 것처럼 행동했다. 남편은 파트너를 따 돌리고 방금 도착한 새로운 여자에게 시간을 바쳤다.
그녀는 남편이 원하는 만큼 하게 내버려 두었다. 당연했다. 그는 그녀의 남편이니까. 드디어 그는 그녀의 귀에다 대고 속삭이며 유혹했고 그녀는 동의했다. 그래서 그들은 밖으로 나와 자동차로 들어가서 가벼운 섹스를 했다.
자정이 되어 변장을 벗기 직전에 그녀는 살짝 빠져나와 집으로 돌아와 의상은 치워버리고 그의 남편이 자기 행동에 대하여 어떤 변명을 할지 궁금해하며 침대속에 들어갔다.
남편이 들어왔을때 그녀는 앉아서 글을 일고 있다가 재미있었냐고 물었다. 남편이 말했다, "아, 따분했어. 당신이 없으니 재미없다는 건 당신도 알거야."
그때 아내가 물었다, "춤은 많이 췄어?"
남편이 대답했다, "나 말이야, 난 한번도 춤을 추지 않았어. 내가 거기 도착했을때 피트와 빌 브라운 그리고 다른 애들을 만났어, 그래서 우리들은 다른데로 가서 저녁내 포커를 했어. 그러나 이봐....내 의상을 빌려간 녀석은 정말 멋진 시간을 보냈더군!"
