A merchant captain and several of his officers were returning to the ship after a large evening ashore.
As they climbed the gangway the captain threw up all over himself. Pointing to an apprentice seaman above him he shouted, "Give that man five days in the brig for vomiting!"
The following morning the captain was checking the log and saw that the young seaman had been sentenced to ten days and asked the chief mate why.
"Well Sir, when we got you undressed we found that he'd also shit in your pants."
한 상선의 선장과 몇 명의 간부 선원들이 해안에서 저녁을 잘 차려 먹은 후 배로 돌아오고 있었다.
그들이 트랩을 오를 때 선장은 자기 온몸에 구토하였다. 그는 자기 위쪽에 있는 견습 선원을 가리키면서 소리쳤다, "저놈을 구토한 죄로 5일간 구금실에 집어넣어!"
다음 날 아침 선장이 항해 일지를 검토하다가 그 젊은 선원이 10일간의 구금형을 받은 걸 보고 일등 항해사에게 그 이유를 물었다.
"예 선장님, 우리들이 선장님 옷을 벗겨드렸을 때 그가 선장님 바지에 똥까지 싼 걸 발견하였습니다."
