Shikongo and Maria got married. Shikongo was a "man about town," so to speak, but Maria was very naive and uninformed about the birds and the bees.
Shikongo was a poor working man and could not afford to take time off for a honeymoon. So, that night, they retired to his little shack.
When Shikongo was undressing, Maria said, "Oh Shikongo, what is that between your legs?"
Shikongo, being a quick thinker, said, "Maria, I am the only man in the world with one of these."
And, then, he proceeded to show her what it was for, and Maria was happy.
The next morning Shikongo went off to work as usual.
When he returned home that evening, Maria was on the front porch obviously upset about something.
"Shikongo, you told me that you were the only man in the world with one of those, and I saw Paulus the gardener changing his clothes behind the shed, and he had one too."
Thinking fast, Shikongo said, "Oh, Maria, Paulus is my best friend. I had two of them so I gave him one. He is the only other man in the world with one of those."
Maria being very stupid accepted his answer and they did their thing again that night.
Shikongo went off to work, again, the next morning; and, when he returned home, Maria was very upset, stamping her foot on the porch.
Shikongo said, "Maria, what is the matter now?"
"Shikongo, you gave Paulus the best one!!"
시콩고와 마리아가 결혼했다. 시콩고는 말하자면 "한량"이지만, 마리아는 순진하고 남녀관계엔 숙맥이었다.
시콩고는 가난한 노동자이기 때문에 밀월여행을 갈 시간이 없었다. 그래서 그들은 첫날밤을 시콩고의 작은 오두막에서 지내기로 했다.
시콩고가 옷을 벗자, 마리아가 말했다, "시콩고, 너 다리 사이에 있는 게 뭐야?"
생각 빠른 시콩고가 말했다, "마리아 이걸 가진 사람은 세상에 나밖에 없어."
그리고나서, 그는 그걸 어떻게 사용하는지 보여주었다. 마리아는 행복했다.
다음 날 아침 시콩고는 여느 때와 같이 일하러 나갔다.
그날 저녁 그가 집으로 돌아오니 마리아는 현관에서 뭔가 속상해 하고 있었다.
"시콩고, 네가 그런 물건을 가진 사람이 세상에 너밖에 없다고 말했는데, 정원사 파울러스가 헛간 뒤에서 옷을 갈아입는 걸 보니 그 사람도 가지고 있었어."
생각 빠른 시콩고가 말했다, "아, 마리아, 파울러스는 내가 가장 좋아하는 친구야. 나는 두 개를 가지고 있었기 때문에 하나는 파울러스에게 줬어. 나 말고 그런 물건을 가진 사람은 파울러스뿐이야."
마리아는 어리석게도 그의 대답을 믿고 그날 밤 다시 그걸 했다.
다음 날 아침 시콩고는 다시 일하러 갔다. 그리고 그가 집에 돌아오니 마리아는 현관에서 발을 구르며 화가 나 있었다.
시콩고가 말했다, "마리아, 이젠 무슨 일이야?"
"시콩고, 너는 제일 좋을 걸 파울러스에게 줬더군!"
