When I was a toddler, someone had given me a little Tea Set as a gift, and it was one of my favorite toys.
Daddy was in the living room engrossed in the evening news when I brought him a little cup of "tea" which was just water, of course.
After several cups of tea and lots of praise for such yummy tea, my Mom came home.
My Dad made her wait in the living room to watch his little Princess bring him a cup of tea, because it was, "Just the cutest thing!"
My Mom waited, and sure enough, here I come down the hall with a cup of tea for Daddy.
She watches him drink it up and then says, "Did it ever occur to you that the only place that a toddler can reach to get water is the toilet?"
내가 아장아장 걸어다닐때, 누군가가 나에게 조그만 티세트를 선물로 주었는데 그것은 내기 제일 좋아하는 장난감이었다.
아빠가 거실에서 저녁 뉴스에 정신이 팔려 있을때 나는 아빠에게 조그만 잔으로 차를 한잔 갖다 드렸다. 물론 그냥 물일 뿐이었다.
차를 몇번 갖다드릴때마다 아빠는 참 맛있다고 칭찬해 주셨는데 그때 엄마가 집으로 돌아오셨다.
아빠는 엄마에게 거실에서 꼬마 공주가 자기에게 차 한 잔을 갖다주는 걸 지켜보라고 하였다, 하는 짓이 너무나 귀여웠으니까!
엄마가 지켜보니 과연 내가 찻잔을 들고 오더니 거실에 있는 아빠에게 갖다 드렸다.
엄마는 아빠가 그걸 마시는걸 보더니 말했다, "얘가 물 떠올 곳이란 화장실 변기밖에 없다는 생각이 안들었어요?"
