The mail carrier had a registered letter that needed a signature for a party on his route.
Receiving no response to his knock on the front door, he went around to the back door which he found open, except for the screen door.
He knocked. A high pitch voice from inside said, "Come in."
Upon entering the kitchen, he was confronted by the largest german shepard he had ever seen.
The dog bared his fangs menacingly, forcing the mail man against the wall.
The mail man shouted, "Lady, call off your dog before he eats me alive."
The only response he got was that same high pitch voice coming from the next room saying, "Come in."
Pressing his body against the wall, he slowly worked his way to the door way leading to the next room.
Looking around, he saw the room was empty, except for a parrot in a cage.
After the threat from the huge dog, he was becoming quite irate and said to the parrot, "Darn you, don't you know any words besides 'come in' ?"
Without a moment's hesitation the parrot responded, Sic him!!!"

그는 현관문을 노크하였으나 아무런 응답이 없자, 돌아서 뒷문으로 갔는데 거기에는 스크린도어를 빼고는 문이 열려있는 걸 보았다.
그는 노크하였다. 안에서 높은 음성이 들려왔다, "들어와요."
그가 부엌으로 들어서자, 이제껏 보아온 개 중에서 제일 큰 독일셰퍼드와 마주쳤다.
그 개는 우편배달원을 벽 쪽으로 몰아붙이면서 송곳니를 위협적으로 드러내었다.
우편배달원이 소리쳤다, "부인, 개가 절 산 채로 물어뜯기 전에 불러들이세요."
그가 들은 유일한 대답은 아까와 같은 높은 음성이 옆방에서 들려온 것이었다, "들어와요."
그는 등을 벽에 붙이고, 천천히 그 옆방으로 연결된 출입구 쪽으로 걸어갔다.
둘러보니, 그 방은 비어 있었고, 새장에 앵무새 한 마리만 있었다.
커다란 개로부터 위협을 당한 후여서, 그는 몹시 화를 내고 그 앵무새에게 말했다, "망할 녀석, 넌 '들어와요'란 말밖에 몰라?"
즉시 앵무새가 말했다, "그놈을 공격해!"
