아메리칸 조크 - 교통경찰관은 가끔 고약한 사람을 만나게 돼요

The patrol officer stopped a motorist for a traffic violation. Standing outside his expensive foreign car, the red-faced driver frantically waved his hands and jumped up and down. "I'll have your job for this!" he shouted at the top of his lungs. "Sir, you wouldn't want my job," replied the unruffled officer as he wrote out the citation. "The hours are long, the pay is low, and you meet some of the nastiest people." 순찰 경찰관이 어느 운전자를 교통위반으로 세웠다. 얼굴이 벌겋게 된 운전자는 자기의 비싼 외제 자동차 바깥에 서서 미친듯이 손을 흔들며 펄쩍 뛰었다. "이럴 거면 내가 교통경찰을 해야겠어!" 하고 그는 목청껏 소리쳤다. "선생님, 선생님은 교통경찰을 하려 하지 않을 거요, 근무시간은 길죠, 임금을 낮죠, 그리고 가끔 아주 고약한 사람을 만납니다," 라고 말하며 경찰관은 침착하게 교통위반 딱지를 떼었다.
