A patron at a restaurant was continually bothering the waiter about the air conditioning.
First he would ask for the air conditioning to be turned up because it was too hot, then he would ask it be turned down because it was too cold, this went on for about a half an hour.
To the surprise of the rest of the customers, the waiter was very patient, walking aback and forth and very pleasant.
So finally a customer asked, "Why don’t you just throw out the pest?"
"Oh, I don’t care," said the waiter with a grin, "we don’t even have an air conditioner."
어느 식당에서 한 고객이 에어컨 문제로 웨이터를 끊임없이 괴롭히고 있었다.
그는 처음에는 너무 더우니 에어컨을 세게 틀라고 요구하다가 다음에는 너무 추우니 약하게 틀라고 요구하였는데, 이런 요구가 반 시간동안이나 계속되었다.
다른 손님들이 보기에는 놀랍게도 그 웨이터는 앞뒤로 걸어 다니면서 아주 참을성이 많고 매우 쾌활하였다.
그래서 한 손님이 물었다, "왜 저 성가신 녀석을 쫓아버리지 않습니까?"
"아, 상관없습니다," 하고 웨이터가 활짝 웃으며 말했다, "여기에는 에어컨이 아예 없습니다."
