A lady was walking past a pet store when a parrot said, "Hey, lady! You're really ugly!"
The lady was furious and continued on her way.
On the way home, she passed by the petstore again and the parrot once more said "Hey, lady! You're really ugly!"
She was incredibly ticked now, so she went into the store and said that she would sue the store and kill the bird.
The store manager apologized profusely and promised he would make sure the parrot didn't say it again.
The next day, she deliberately passed by the store to test the parrot.
"Hey, lady!" it said.
"Yes?"
"You know."
어떤 여자가 애완동물 가게를 지나가고 있었는데 그때 앵무새 한 마리가 말했다, "이봐, 아가씨! 너 정말 못생겼다!"
그녀는 화가 났으나 가던 길을 계속 걸어갔다.
집으로 돌아가는 길에, 그녀는 다시 그 애완동물 가게를 지나갔다, 그리고 그 앵무새가 이번에도 말했다, "이봐, 아가씨! 너 정말 못생겼다!"
그녀는 이번엔 몹시 화가 났다, 그래서 그녀는 가게 안으로 들어가서 그 가게를 고소하고 새는 죽여버리겠다고 말했다.
가게 주인은 지나칠 정도로 사과하고 앵무새가 다시는 그런 말을 하지 못하도록 하겠다고 약속하였다.
다음날, 그녀는 그 앵무새를 시험해보기 위하여 일부러 그 상점을 지나갔다.
"이봐, 아가씨!" 하고 앵무새가 말했다.
"그런데?"
"아가씨는 알잖아."
