The Rabbi explains that he must move on to a larger congregation that will pay him more. There is a hush within the congregation. No one wants him to leave.
Sol Epstein, who owns several car dealerships in the City stands up and proclaims: "If the Rabbi stays, I will provide him with a new Cadillac every year and his wife with a Honda mini-van to transport their children!"
The congregation sighs in appreciation, and applauds.
Sam Goldstein, a successful entrepreneur and investor, stands and says: If the Rabbi will stay on here, I'll personally double his salary, and also establish a foundation to guarantee the college education of all his children!!"
More sighs and loud applause.
Sadie Goldfarb, age 88, stands and announces with a smile, "If the Rabbi stays, I vill give him sex!"
There is total silence.
The Rabbi, blushing, asks her: "Mrs. Goldfarb, whatever possessed you to say that?"
Sadie's 90 year old husband Jacob is now trying to hide, holding his forehead with the palm of his hand and shaking his head from side to side while his wife replies: "Vell, I just asked mein husband how ve could help, and he said, "Fuck the Rabbi."
랍비가 자기는 좀 더 많은 급료를 주는 더 큰 교구로 옮겨야겠다고 설명하였다. 교인들 사이에 정적이 흘렀다. 아무도 그가 떠나는 걸 원하지 않았다.

교인들은 탄성을 지르며 감사했고, 박수갈채를 보냈다.
성공한 기업가이며 투자가인 샘 골드스타인이 일어서서 말했다, "만약 랍비께서 여기 머물러 주신다면, 저는 개인적으로 그분의 급료를 배로 올려 드리겠고, 그분의 자녀들이 모두 대학교육을 받을 수 있도록 보증하는 재단도 설립하겠습니다!"
더 큰 탄성과 요란한 박수갈채가 쏟아졌다.
88세인 새디 골드파브 여사가 일어서서 미소 짓고 말했다, "만약 랍비께서 머무신다면, 저는 그분에게 섹스를 해 드리겠습니다!"
말 없는 침묵만이 흘렀다.
랍비가 얼굴을 붉히고 그녀에게 물었다, "골드파브 부인, 뭣 때문에 그런 엉뚱한 말씀을 하십니까?"
새디가 "저, 제가 방금 남편에게 어떻게 도와드릴까 하고 물었더니, 남편이 Fuck the Rabbi 라고 말했습니다"라고 대답하자, 그녀의 90세 난 늙은 남편은 손바닥으로 이마를 가리고 머리를 옆으로 설레설레 흔들면서 숨을 곳을 찾았다.
