A Leeds Fan, a Liverpool fan and a Man u fan were all in Saudi Arabia, sharing a smuggled crate of booze. All of a sudden the Saudi police rushed in and arrested them.
The mere possession of alcohol is a severe offence in Saudi Arabia, so for the terrible crime of actually being caught consuming the booze, they were sentenced to death.
However, after many months and with the help of very good lawyers, they were able to successfully appeal their sentence down to life imprisonment.
By a stroke of luck, it was a Saudi national holiday the day their trial finished, and the extremely benevolent Sheikh decided they could be released after receiving just 20 lashes each of the whip.
As they were preparing for their punishment, the Sheikh suddenly said, "It's my first wife's birthday today, and she has asked me to allow each of you one wish before your whipping."
The Leeds fan was first in line (he had drunk the least), so he thought about this for a while and then said, "Please tie a pillow to my back."
This was done, but the pillow only lasted 10 lashes before the whip went through.
The Leeds fan had to be carried away bleeding and crying with pain when the punishment was done.
The Scouser was next up and after watching the scene, said, " Please fix two pillows on my back, under my dress"
But even two pillows & 1 dress could only take 15 lashes before the whip went through again.
The Manc was the last one up (he had finished off the crate), but before he could say anything, the Sheikh turned to him and said, "You are from a most beautiful part of the world, your city has some of the best bars, nightclubs and restaurants in Europe, your city and football team is known throughout the world. For this, you may have two wishes!"
"Cheers mate, your Most Royal and Merciful Highness," The manc replies. "In recognition of your kindness, my first wish is that you give me not 20, but 100 lashes."
"Not only are you an honourable, handsome and powerful man, you are also very brave." The Sheik says with an admiring look on his face.
"If 100 lashes is what you desire, then so be it. And your second wish? What is it to be?" the Sheikh asks.
"Please tie the Scouser to my back."
리즈 팬 한 명, 리버풀 팬 한 명, 그리고 맨유 팬 한 명이 모두 사우디아라비아에 있었는데 그들은 밀반입한 술 한 통을 나눠 마시고 있었다. 갑자기 사우디의 경찰관이 들이닥쳐 그들을 체포하였다.
사우디아라비아에서는 술을 단순히 소지만 하여도 엄한 처벌을 받게 되어 있다, 그래서 술을 마시다 현장에서 체포된 심각한 범죄이기 때문에 그들에게 사형이 선고되었다.
하지만, 수개월 뒤 아주 능력 있는 변호사의 도움으로, 그들의 선고량을 무기징역으로 감형하여 달라는 호소가 성공적으로 받아들여졌다.
다행히도 그들의 재판이 끝난 날은 사우디의 국경일이었다, 매우 자애로운 지도자는 그들 각자에게 채찍 20대씩만 가하고 석방하기로 결정하였다.
그들이 처벌받기 위한 준비를 하고 있을 때, 지도자가 갑자기 말했다, "오늘은 내 첫 번째 아내의 생일이오, 그리고 아내가 나에게 여러분이 채찍형을 받기 전에 한가지씩 소원을 들어주라고 부탁하였소."
리즈 팬이 첫 순위였다(그는 술을 가장 적게 마셨던 사람이다), 그래서 그가 잠시 생각해보더니 말했다, "제발 제 등에 베개를 하나 묶어주세요."

맨유 팬이 마지막 차례였다 (그는 술통을 비웠던 사람이다), 그러나 그가 무슨 말을 꺼내기 전, 지도자가 그를 돌아다보고 말했다, "당신은 세계에서 가장 아름다운 곳 출신이고, 당신 도시에는 유럽에서 가장 좋은 바, 나이트클럽, 그리고 식당이 있고, 당신 도시와 축구팀은 세계에 잘 알려져 있소. 그러니 당신에게는 소원 2가지를 들어 드리겠소!"
맨유 팬이 말했다, "존경하는 자비심 깊은 전하, 전하의 친절에 대한 답례로, 저의 첫 번째 소원은 저에게 채찍 20대가 아니고 100대를 내려 주시는 것입니다."
"당신은 고귀하고, 미남이고, 힘센 사람일 뿐만 아니라 아주 용감하군요." 하고 지도자는 얼굴에 감탄하는 표정을 짓고 말했다.
"만약 100대가 당신이 원하는 것이라면, 그렇게 하겠소. 그리고 당신의 두 번째 소원은 뭐요?" 하고 지도자가 물었다.
"제발 저 리버풀 사람을 저의 등에 매어 주세요."
