An institution for the mentally ill arranged for its inmates to attend a baseball game.
The director spent days training the patients to obey his commands so there wouldn't be any trouble.
The day of the game was bright and sunny, and the group arrived just before the first pitch.
When it was time for the national anthem, the director yelled, "Up, nuts!" and the inmates immediately rose.
When the national anthem was over, the director yelled, "Down, nuts!" and the inmates sat.
The game proceeded, and the inmates were well behaved.
When the home team made a good play, the director yelled, "Clap, nuts!" and the patients applauded just like normal fans.
Things were going so well that the director left his seat to go get a hot dog and a beer.
But when he came back, there was a riot going on.
The director finally located his assistant and demanded, "What happened?"
"Everything was fine," the assistant said, "until some guy came over and yelled, "Peanuts!"

경기가 진행되었고 환자들은 잘 행동하였다.
홈팀이 멋진 플레이를 하자, 감독이 소리쳤다, "Clap, nuts!(모두, 박수!)" 그러자 환자들이 정상적인 팬들과 꼭 같이 환호하였다.
일이 아주 잘 진행되었기 때문에 감독은 자기 자리를 떠나 핫도그와 맥주를 먹으러 갔다.
그러나 그가 돌아왔을 때, 소동이 벌어지고 있었다.
감독은 드디어 보조자를 찾아내고 물었다, "무슨 일이 일어난 거야?"
그 보조자가 말했다, "어떤 남자가 나타나서 "Peanuts!"라고 소리치기까지는 아무 일이 없었습니다."
