Mrs. Jones is teaching her fourth grade class, and tells them that the word of the day is 'contagious.'
She asks if anyone can use this word in a sentence, and several people stick up their hands.
"Carl." she says.
Carl says, "My dad told me to stay away from kids with mumps, 'cause they're contagious'."
"Very good!" says Mrs. Jones. Then she picks Suzie, who says, "The atmosphere was contagious."
The teacher says, "Excellent, Suzie!"
Then she notices that little Johnny has his hand up, at the back of the class.
"Yes, little Johnny?" she says.
Little Johnny says, "The other day, me and my dad are sitting around and we saw our blonde neighbour painting her fence.
She had a tiny little water-color paintbrush, and she was going in tiny little strokes up and down the fence..."
"Johnny, what on Earth does all that have to do with 'contagious?" interrupts Mrs. Jones.
"Well my dad says to me, 'Jesus, it's gonna take that cunt ages to finish that fence.'"

그때 그녀는 리틀 자니가 교실 뒤에서 손을 들고 있는 걸 보았다.
"그래, 리틀 자니?" 하고 그녀가 말했다.
리틀 자니가 말했다, "일전에 저와 저의 아버지가 앉아 쉬고 있었는데, 우리는 이웃에 있는 블론드가 자기 담장을 칠하고 있는 걸 보았습니다.
그녀는 수채화 그리는 조그마한 붓을 갖고, 담장 위아래로 조금씩 칠하고 있었는데..."
"자니, 도대체 그게 'contagious'와 무슨 관계가 있냐?" 하고 존스 여선생님이 끼어들었다.
"음, 제 아버지가 저에게 '젠장, 저년이 저 담장을 끝내려면 한참 걸리겠군,' 하고 말씀하셨습니다."
