An old farmer is driving down a country road in his pickup truck when it starts making an awful noise. He stops the truck and crawls underneath to investigate the problem.
"Hmmm...muffler's loose. I bet I could fix that if I had a Monkey Wrench." He says.
He crawls out from underneath the truck and looks down the road. Off in the distance he sees a small house.
There is a black woman and several small black children playing in the yard.
The Farmer yells to her, "Hey Miss, do you happen to have Monkey Wrench?"
"What?" She yells back.
"A Monkey Wrench!!?" He screams.
"What?"
"MONKEY WRENCH!!?...MONKEY WRENCH!!?"
"Naw, this ain't no Monkey Ranch, its a Day Care Center!"
한 늙은 농부가 픽업 트럭을 운전하여 시골길을 달리고 있었는데 그때 차에서 심한 소리가 나기 시작했다. 그는 트럭을 세우고 차 밑으로 기어들어가 무슨 문제인지 조사했다.
"음.... 머플러가 헐거워졌군. 멍키 렌치가 있으면 바로 고칠수 있겠군." 하고 그가 말했다.
그는 트럭 밑에서 기어나와 길을 바라 보았다. 저 멀리에서 그는 작은 집을 보았다.
거기에는 흑인 여자와 뜰에서 놀고 있는 몇 명의 흑인 어린아이들이 있었다.
농부가 그 여자에게 소리쳤다, "보세요 아주머니, 거기 멍키 렌치 있나요?"
"뭐라고요?"하고 그녀가 소리쳤다.
"멍키 렌치요!" 하고 그가 소리쳤다.
"뭐라고요?"
"멍키 렌치?...멍키 렌치?"
"아니예요, 여긴 멍키 랜치가 아니고 탁아소 입니다!"
