A boy was assigned a paper on childbirth and asked his parents, "How was I born?"
"Well honey..." said the slightly prudish parent, "the stork brought you to us."
"Oh," said the boy. "Well, how did you and daddy get born?" he asked.
"Oh, the stork brought us too."
"Well how were grandpa and grandma born?" he persisted.
"Well darling, the stork brought them too!" said the parent, by now starting to squirm a little in the Lazy Boy recliner.
Several days later, the boy handed in his paper to the teacher, who read with confusion the opening sentence:
"This report has been very difficult to write due to the fact that there hasn't been a natural childbirth in my family for three generations."
어떤 소년이 출생에 관한 숙제를 받고 부모님에게 물었다, "나는 어떻게 태어났어요?"
약간 얌전한 체 해오던 엄마가 말했다, "그건 말이야....황새가 널 우리에게 데리고 왔단다."
"아~" 하고 소년이 말했다. "그러면 엄마와 아빠는 어떻게 태어났어요?" 하고 물었다.
"오~, 우리들도 황새가 데리고 왔었지."
"그럼 할아버지와 할머니는 어떻게 태어났어요?" 하고 소년은 집요하게 물었다.
엄마는 레이지보이 의자에서 이제는 약간 주저주저하면서 말했다. "얘야, 그분들도 황새가 데리고 왔단다."
며칠 후 소년은 선생님에게 보고서를 제출하였는데 선생님은 다음과 같이 시작되는 글을 읽고 혼란스러웠다,
"우리 가족은 3대에 걸쳐서 자연적인 출생이 이루어지지 않은 사실 때문에 이 보고서를 작성하기가 매우 어려웠다."
