The head doctors in an insane asylum had a meeting and decided that one of their patients was potentially well. So they decide to test him and take him to the movies.
When they get to the movie theatre, there are signs of wet paint pointing to the benches. The doctors just sit down, but the patient puts a newspaper down first and then sits down. The doctors get all excited because they think maybe he’s in touch with reality now. So they ask him, “Why did you put the newspaper down first?”
He answers, “So I’d be higher and have a better view.”
어느 정신병원에서 간부 의사들이 회의를 열고 그곳 환자들중 한 명이 어쩌면 정상이 되었다고 결론지었다. 그래서 그들은 그를 테스트해보기로 하고 극장으로 데리고 갔다.
그들이 극장에 갔을 때 '페이트 칠 했음' 이라는 표지들이 벤치들을 가리키고 있었다. 의사들은 그냥 앉았으나, 그 환자는 신문을 먼저 깔고 난 다음에 앉았다. 의사들은 모두 그가 이젠 현실에 적응하고 있다고 생각하고 흥분했다. 그래서 그들이 그에게 물었다, "왜 신문을 먼저 깔았죠?"
환자가 대답했다, "그렇게 하면 내 키가 좀 더 높아져서 영화를 더 잘 볼 수 있거든요."
